Sipher Odyssey supports full asset ownership through NFTs on Funki Chain. You can withdraw your in-game items to your wallet, deposit NFTs into the game for full utility, or just play using NFTs you already own. Here’s how it all works.
NFT Basics in Sipher
- Game items like Vessels, weapons, and equipment can be minted (withdrawn) as ERC-721 NFTs to your linked Web3 wallet.
- Once withdrawn, NFTs are owned by you and can be traded outside the game (once third-party marketplaces launch).
- NFTs can still be used in-game, even when sitting in your wallet.
Withdrawn NFTs: Playable but Limited
When you withdraw an in-game item as an NFT:
- The game reflects your NFT from your wallet in a read-only mode.
- You can still play using the NFT. You can upgrade, level up, and change augments.
- You cannot trade it in the in-game marketplace, burn/ascend your vessel, or salvage the item.
- The NFT stays in your wallet, fully owned by you.
Deposited NFTs: Full Utility & Tradability
When you deposit an NFT into the game using the Sipher Shop:
- The item is sent into the game via a wallet signature on Funki Chain.
- Deposited NFTs become fully usable, and tradable in the Sipher in-app marketplace.
- You can withdraw deposited NFTs at any time to return them to your wallet.
Quick FAQ
