Not in the traditional sense.
Sipher isn’t a Play-to-Earn game like Axie Infinity, where players can grind a token (like SLP) and sell it for cash.
Instead, it focuses on fun, ownership, and collectors’ value.
How it works in Sipher
In Sipher Odyssey, you can earn characters (called Vessels), weapons, and equipment like body armor, head, hand, and foot gears by playing the game.
These items are tradeable through our in-app marketplace, using an in-game currency called RAM.
RAM isn’t currently redeemable for fiat (like USD) within the app.
So is there any earning potential?
Yes, depending on how you choose to engage.
All in-game assets can be minted on-chain as NFTs on Funki Chain. Once minted, your items can be traded freely on NFT marketplaces that support Funki Chain.
This opens up the possibility to sell them for ETH, SIPHER, USDC, or other tokens. That’s one of the benefits of Web3 games — your items belong to you and can be used however you want.
You could also earn rare drops or limited-time items that might carry high collector value, especially as the game and community grow.
The on-chain marketplace isn’t live yet, but it’s on the way. Anyone can build a marketplace for Sipher assets, similar to Blur or OpenSea on Funki Chain.
Holiday season gears are an example of premium market items. Unlike generic drops, this segment holds real value through scarcity, exclusivity, and collector appeal.
Example : Arachne gears and tournament only drops are unique and have collector appeal.
TL;DR
Sipher Odyssey isn’t a token-farming P2E game.
It’s a free-to-play, action roguelite where you earn valuable in-game gear. If you want, you can mint those items and trade them on-chain.
Play for fun. Own what you earn. And maybe discover something rare worth holding onto.
