Connecting a cold wallet like a Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet to your Ather Account allows you to securely manage your crypto assets within Ather Labs' ecosystem.
Browser extension wallets such as Metamask and others typically allow you to connect your hardware wallets natively. You can find guides on the respective hard wallet websites:
https://trezor.io/learn/a/metamask-and-trezor
https://www.ledger.com/academy/security/the-safest-way-to-use-metamask
If those alternatives do not work, you may use WalletConnect to link your hardware wallet directly.
Here are the basic steps:
-
Make sure your hardware wallet is set up correctly and you have the correct apps installed.
-
On the Ather Labs website you're connecting to (e.g. account.atherlabs.com), click the "Connect Wallet" or "Sign In" button.
-
Select "WalletConnect" from the options.
-
Your hardware wallet will ask you to confirm the connection. Click "Confirm" to allow the website to connect.
-
Your wallet will now be connected. You'll see your wallet address displayed on the Ather Labs website.
Notes:
-
You'll need to connect your wallet separately to each Ather Labs website. They do not share connections.
-
Make sure no other wallets are connected in your browser before connecting your hardware wallet via WalletConnect.
-
Only connect your wallet to authentic Ather Labs websites. Do not connect to suspicious sites.
-
Your seed phrase and private keys never leave your hardware wallet. The connection is read-only.
Please contact us if you have any other questions or issues connecting your cold wallet. We're happy to assist and ensure you can securely manage your crypto assets within Ather Labs' products and services.
